Google, Mercedes, and BMW are f***ed.
Don’t get me wrong, German car manufacturers are the best at making cars. But that’s all they are, cars.
New EV companies like Tesla offer a software. A platform that enables new business models to be layered onto the car – like streaming services and online shopping.
And they’re only scratching the surface. Next year, 250K new autonomous vehicles will be deployed in the US.
Imagine being on holiday in San Francisco: You want to go to a pizzeria, so you call a cab. A “robo taxi” arrives, and asks if you want to go to pizzeria A, B, or C. You pick one and the taxi brings you there for FREE. During your ride, you don’t pay with money, but you pay with attention. You might watch ads or need to visit a certain website on the way. And the pizzeria you chose pays your fare.
These new business models that are based on capturing your attention will be game changing in every industry. And German car companies don’t have a platform for them, so it’s going to be extremely hard for them to catch up.
The future of the construction industry
During a cab ride, a car has your attention for minutes. But we spend 8+ hours in our homes.
Every. Single. Day.
Rhomberg Ventures will soon be able to provide an operating system with hardware and software that will come fully-integrated with our buildings, including the entire CREE ecosystem. Like a Tesla.
It will come delivered with a product:
- a hotel
- commercial building
- housing/apartments
It won’t need to be added afterward and will offer services tailored to each type of tenant.
For tenants, it will offer an operating system where they can control:
- AC
- Heating
- Shades
- Lights
- etc.
All the at-home functions that they need anyway in a neatly packaged OS. PLUS giving them the possibility to access all of their favourite streaming services, online shops, food delivery, and digital platforms.
For investors, this opens up a HUGE new revenue stream. You can sell this new service as an OpEx, and profit from the sales of services to tenants through the platform.
Not to mention the near infinite amount of data that can be gathered and used to develop large language models (LLMs) and other machine-learning algorithms…
Stopping Google from becoming the next Kodak
Google is in trouble. Their business model is becoming obsolete with the rise of LLMs like GPT. And Satya Nadella is a genius that has catapulted Microsoft ahead during the last 10 years. Google’s been leading their industry for too long without looking in the rearview mirror and their competitors are gaining on them. They don’t know where to go. They’re at risk of “Kodakizing” themselves.
But if they partnered with me…
They would have a completely new, blue-ocean business model where they could sell sustainable, affordable houses for commercial, residential, and hotels.
Including their OS.
Where the buildings are connected and can learn from each other.
I’m not talking about selling $2.50 services on Amazon. These are buildings worth $100M+ USD. Google could easily 4X their revenue with Rhomberg Ventures. They could outsmart everyone with this move.
I’m looking for a $1B USD injection into my ecosystem.
We have the capacity to deliver worldwide. We are the orchestrator.
And the investment immediately makes you the biggest in the construction industry. Together with CREE, you would be the only company worldwide offering buildings with an edge operating system (no data goes out) that you can:
- optimize
- use training data for AI
- sell services
That is all YOU.
The data is yours and you can decide what to do with it.
You can develop your own LLM without any dependence on any other company or country - just trust CREE for the deployment.
Game B: Away from techno-feudalism
I like the idea of partnering with an industry leader like Google. I believe they are visionary and they have experience deploying similar software platforms.
But it’s not the only way.
And frankly, I’m not a fan of the techno-feudalist world that we live in (the dominance of a handful of big tech companies that constantly sap resources from the people). Once you’re locked in, it’s extremely difficult to get out. Think about your monthly cloud subscriptions…
Another approach that I see is to offer an
- independent
- neutral
- Austrian
- Open
- trustworthy platform
Where anyone can sell services and apps that can be deployed worldwide TODAY.
CREE offers the platform (like an iPhone) and takes care of the design, the product, sustainability, and the users’ rights. And other developers can implement it.
The beauty of this approach is that we can share the knowledge created between buildings with ALL participants instead of giving the data to one big techno-feudalist.
We can share the profit with the people and share the joint learning.
Partners could do what they want with the information – build new LLMs, services, and products that benefit the people.
Partnerships could be created between partners.
And together, we would be faster than everyone else.
